Last August we splurged and took a family vacation to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We left from San Diego and had a wonderful time together. (OK, 5 people in a cruise cabin is a little tight, but we managed.) The highlight of the trip was our shore excursion to go snorkeling in the Sea of Cortez. Anna, Troy and Daniel were all stung by a jellyfish, with Anna getting stung the most severely. Troy also accidentally hit the gears of the boat while we were idling in Santa Maria Cove, sending the boat in reverse and nearly missing the adjacent boat. Fortunately, our boat driver was able to jump out of the water and get to the controls just in time. (The kids aren't letting me live that one down.)
