Sara started back up at the U with a new major in Nutrition (at least for today). She lived with us for the first couple of weeks after school started, but I guess we weren't too exciting. (Becky and I are known as the "fun couple" so I don't understand that.) She got an apartment and moved in with 3 other girls in an apartment closer to school. She still comes home a couple of days a week to raid the fridge, do laundry, and do some Mad Science work.
Daniel went to the homecoming dance and got a new suit. He looks very handsome. Any girl should feel privileged to go with him.
This was their "day activity" the afternoon of the dance. They decorated cakes blindfolded and without utensils.

Eating their cake after the dance:

He also turned 16 and got his driver's license.
This is Daniel at a recent swim meet. He and his relay team use this "arrow" shot to give the team member in front them an added boost off the starting block. His team won the 4x100 relay at a recent 6 high school meet. He had a couple of very impressive swims.
Halloween was fun. Here are our pumpkins (unfortunately, they did not come from our garden.) Not pictured is Sara's pumpkin which featured the Block "U" for the U of U.
This was also an unusual find: Becky found a couple of sprouted pumpkin seeds from INSIDE her pumpkin. I guess you get that kind of inferior quality when you buy the pumpkins from Walmart.
Finally, Anna is all about play. She was in a play at school, where she played the leading role in a Columbus play:
She most enjoys playing "American Girl" dolls with her friends. They refer to them as "the girls" and care for them as if they were real. They also bought Halloween costumes for them and carried them around to go trick or treating. We didn't get a shot of the three big girls, but we did a shot of "the girls".
This nurturing thing seems to be a recurring thing in her play. She also made a "snow baby" after the big snowstorm earlier this month.

There is so much to enjoy here, but I must say that my very favorite is snow baby.
So. If you hadn't of carved the pumpkin for a long little while would you have found a pumpkin in a pumpkin?
And, could you have used the new family cookbook to make a dinner in a pumpkin, in a pumpkin?
I thought you had give up the blog. Good to see you are still at it. Have to say I don't think I can last until spring without our daily Corn update.
correction....that should read given. I thought you had given up the blog. Just to clarify. Didn't want you to worry about me.
