Corn Grows: Week 12

We're nearing the end of the season. Not only are the ears of corn getting bigger, but I've had some kind of bug eat all of the silk off the ears on one end of the garden. I haven't figured out what that is yet, but I do have more ears formed than I did last year.

In other update news, Becky is doing much better. She is not nearly as nauseated with the new medication, and she has cut back quite a bit, taking only a half tablet when she does. When she went in to have the bandages changed on Tuesday, the Dr. said it looked more like a 3-week healing than 1-week, so she is doing remarkably well. She is able to drive again, but she has to wear a boot when she walks, and a smaller shoe/boot when she drives. The best part about this (I mean, besides that she will be pain free when she walks, and her feet will be even more aesthetically pleasing) is that we got her a handicap parking decal, so we get to park close everywhere we go. Haven't you always wanted to at least try parking in those close spots? Its pretty cool.
