Laughter: The best medicine

Becky is recovering well from her foot surgery last week, but she still has to wear a boot on both feet for the next few weeks. For now, her doctor has ordered her to lie down and keep her foot elevated. Unlike what you might suspect after watching the video below, she is off the high-powered pain killers and just takes ibuprofen to control the swelling. To keep herself occupied, she downloaded an eBook from the library and was reading it on the couch. Daniel got the video camera and set it up on the end table behind the couch without her knowing. From this angle, you can arm of the couch, the pillows she is resting on and her feet at the opposite end of the couch propped up on pillows. Gauging from her laughter, I think she is well on her way to recovery.

The book she was reading was a printed copy of selections from the Awkward Family Photos website.

As Becky laid [layed? Becky will correct me I'm sure] on the couch, Sara though it would be funny to take the larger boot Becky originally had, put an extra sock in it and put it with the two she was wearing:

Or maybe she was just hoping they call her on a mission. (When she has grown a foot or two.) :)

Oh I am giggling away here when I shoudl be sound asleep, but Becky laughing to her little self, and then the extra foot. I just wanted her to have woken from her surgery to that and screamed, "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!!" Like some sort of an awesome horror movie . . . one where they sew on an extra foot during what should have been routine surgery. Maybe if I keep giggling loud enough, Mike will stagger in from where he fell asleep on our couch and I'll show him this post.
