Coumarin-Europium Sensors

Sara is finishing up her undergraduate work at the University this month and has been presenting her lab work at the WSU Undergrad Research Symposium (a national conference) and she repeated her presentation at the U for the Undergrad Honors Program. We went to see her at the U, and she did an excellent job. Except, I still couldn't really explain what a Coumarin-Europium Sensor is or what it does, except that it is flourescent in the presence of hydrogen-peroxide. And this is an important breakthrough and will be featured on NOVA one day.
