Corn Grows: Week 7

Corn continues to grow well. Nacho laid down on one stalk and broke it, so I had to stake it in the center.

Potatoes and tomatoes continue to do well. Potatoes are blooming now, so we should get new potatoes soon. The challenge I have now is that I laid down the fabric to keep the weeds out, but how do I dig up the potatoes??

Bananas are also doing well.

Nacho, Nacho, Nacho. Quinn ate mom and dad's green peppers off the vine. Looks like you'll have to dig up the weed fabric to get to the potatoes. Bummer.

Just be happy it was Nacho and not Thor. Thor did lie on one of our red hot poker beds and it looks liken av large boulder was placed in the middle for awhile. I guess those things attract birds and dogs.

P.S. Clearly you couldn't sacrafice all your corn for one Harris gathering, but our little family will be thrilled to join you on the sly with no one else knowing . . . unless of course they are reading this . . . I feel like the walls (or web pages) have ears now!
