Ay carumba! During our trip to Mexico, there was apparently a very strong wind storm that stripped my corn stalks of all their leaves. Sadly, I don't think that a bundle of sticks on the front porch has the same effect as the bundle of corn stalks and pumpkins I had envisioned. This will now close this chapter of "Corn Grows" for the 2009 season.
But we did harvest a lot of apples and pears this year. There were very few worms this year and, for the most part, the fruit was a LOT larger. I guess my pruning in the spring really does have an effect.

Oh that is a lot of fruitiness. What are you going to do with them there apples and pears???
I always miss "Corn Grows" when it is over. And how sad that there is no spooky decor to enjoy through Halloween.
Remember when you used to like Halloween?
