I have to brag just a little. Sara has been working as a Mad Scientist this summer doing workshops, parties, summer camps, library demonstrations, etc. She had a "gig" at the Davis County Fair, so unknown to her, I went over to see her show and took my video camera with me. She was "playing" under the big tent (the prime fair venue where all the best acts play) and despite being wedged between the small animal petting tent on one side and the food vendors on the other (think large trailers fitted with grill spits and roasting chickens with smoke wafting through the big tent). On top of that, most fair goers are not the most attentive...pausing only long enough to eat their corn dogs or shish-kebobs under the shade of the big tent and don't feel any real obligation to stay. Despite those distractions and a fairly brisk wind that frequently blew some of her experiments, she was remarkably well poised and confident. I was very proud of her and her ability to interact with the kids. She certainly is developing her talent and I'm proud of her. The video below is just a couple of minutes from her gig.

She has become such a super star. It really does seem that every time I turn around she is in the news!!! I love how she just takes charge!
