After about 2 years of working out the details, from the service project to the court of honor, Daniel finally has received his Eagle Scout award. His patient friend, Holden, waited for him so they could receive it together. Daniel did his Eagle project almost a year ago, and very soon after completed all of the interviews. We just got caught up in the swim season, then the lacrosse season, and we finally fit it in a week ago. They had a lot of his friends from school and the ward there to support them....in fact, when they called the all of the "Eagles" to the "Eagles Nest" (a separate section of chairs), at least 2/3 of the people attending got up to sit in the Eagle's Nest. There were only a few left in main body of seats.
Here's a couple of pics.

The refreshments:

One of the memories Daniel's scoutmaster had of their hike to King's Peak in the Uintas, was Daniel with smashed mosquitoes over his face and forehead (they showed a picture of it at the court of honor). His scoutmaster added these crumbs to the cake to memorialize that image of Daniel:

You didn't dwell on the refreshments perhaps as long as you should. First I laughed . . . and then, I was a little nervous. There were their faces on cakes!! Is it just a cut out or is it air brushed on in frosting?? Could someone eat Daniel's face if they wanted? Well, congrats Daniel!
