Corn Bust 2010

When I was growing up, our Ward had a "Corn Bust" at the Stake Camp every August. A corn bust was everyone meeting at the camp with their own meat and Bro. Crezee would bring all of the corn from his garden and they would cook it up. You could have all you wanted. I remember it being some of the sweetest corn of the year...probably because it had just been picked that day.

Well, I regret to inform the loyal followers of Corn Grows: 2010 that this year's corn has been a bust....and not in the way that Bro. Crezee did it. You'll recall that I tried planting the corn much closer together this year, and apparently that doesn't work. It stopped growing in height about 3 weeks ago, and hasn't done much since...except to tassle with NO EARS of corn. That's right, folks. We have 0 ears of corn this year. We have a lot of stalks, though.
