It's a Hard Day & Night

We've been dejunking and I came across a couple of old hard drives. Since I didn't want to throw them away or donate them to the DI because of personal info on them, I asked Daniel to "destroy" them for me. He spent the entire day and evening coming up with creative ways to destroy them. He initially started taking them apart to see how they worked, but then graduated to an ax, a hammer and screwdriver, rocks, dropping rocks onto them from a 12' ladder (for which he said he starting getting strange looks from neighbors across the street who could see him on top of the ladder), and throwing them. Hard drives are called "hard" for a reason: they are very difficult to break. He did succeed in making a mess all over the basketball court in the back yard. Now I can rest assured that my personal information cannot be used for identity theft.

Oh, could he please come to my house??? I've been carting around 2 old hard drives for several years now for the same reason! I bet he had a lot of fun and gave him some much needed creative summer release!
