Partied Out!

We had Anna's birthday party for her friends yesterday. Gone are the days that we do a big elaborate party at home. Now, we much prefer taking everyone to the skating rink where they can skate for an hour, come back and have cake and ice cream, open presents and GO HOME. (Sorry, that's my favorite part of these things.) Over the years, we've done just about everything from cake decorating parties, fashion shows, pokemon battles and luaus, but I'm afraid our energy for that has long since expired. We're now moving into simplified and short parties....and even hoping we only have a few years of those to go.

If you look closely in this last picture of Anna, you'll even see a bit of the "Long Greens" showing through.

Does that girl's shirt say "I don't do drugs"? Because that is funny to me that a girl of age 10? is wearing that shirt. Because you wouldn't want THAT taking over a party where you serve a watermelon cake. You really should monitor Anna's friends a little closer.

Happy Birtday Anna! (Actually, that is a very, very cute cake!)

Actually, the shirt says "I Don't Do Drama"....which is a very fitting statement (or an ironic one) for this girl. ;)

Okay - drama is better than drugs but I don't know any 10 year old that doesn't do drama. I would like to meet her - or probably not......
